Q: How does my store join the program?
A: Sign up here: Ravensburger Play Hub
After being approved to the RPH program, stores begin in Welcome Tier and can immediately begin scheduling, running, and reporting events through the Ravensburger Play Hub software.
You do not need to wait to receive an official organized play kit to start scheduling, running, and reporting events. The most popular formats to get started with are core constructed and pack rush!
Note: This does not apply to stores who wish to only appear in the store locator. Retail-only stores do not receive benefits from this program.
Q: What is the Ravensburger Play Hub and what is Carde.io?
A: Ravensburger Play Hub (RPH) is your local hangout where you can play the Disney Lorcana TCG with other fans like you. There are thousands of RPH locations around the world!
Most RPH locations are Friendly Local Game Stores (FLGSs) that host tabletop gaming events for all kinds of board games and card games, including Trading Card Games (TCGs) like Disney Lorcana. They’re fun places staffed with super helpful people who can both teach you how to play Disney Lorcana and introduce you to players in the community. It’s like a neighborhood clubhouse for Disney Lorcana fans!
You can find your local RPH by making a Ravensburger Player Account and searching for stores and events near you. RPH stores schedule, run, and report events in the carde.io software, which is available here at this link.
.Q: Am I required to run every Prerelease?
A: For Standard Tier maintenance and Legendary Tier qualification and maintenance, participation in each set's Prerelease program is required.
Q: What is a "ticket"?
A: A ticket represents one player participating in one event. For example, if one player attends six different events, they create six tickets.
Q: What is a "unique player"?
A: A unique player is an individual player with a Ravensburger Play account who registers and participates in one or more events at your store.
For example: On Monday, your store runs the first event of the year with 4 players. On Wednesday, your store runs a second event where two people from the Monday event came back alongside 2 new people. Your store’s Unique player count is now 6. Both events had 4 players, but 2 of those players were already counted in the first event and cannot be counted again.
Unique player requirements do NOT require 25 (or 50) people in one event. You need 25 (or 50) different people across ALL events for the entire 4-set period (one calendar year).
Q: What is Ravensburger’s definition of an “event”?
An "event" is any time a group of people come together around Disney Lorcana. This can include tournaments, socially focused events, collection quest, pack rush, and any other format.
An event must have at least 4 people and must be scheduled, run, and reported in the Ravensburger Play Hub software (RavensburgerPlay.com) to count towards your store metrics. If your event does not have at least 4 people attending, does not utilize RPH software, or does not get reported in any way, it will not count towards your store’s metrics.
Q: My store is in Legendary tier, how can we utilize the additional Set Championship Kit?
A: Legendary Tier stores run one Set Championship event but receive additional prizing support for that event.
This would work as follows:
Stores are not permitted to run a second Set Championship event.
Q: How much more of an allocation will Legendary stores get as compared to Standard stores for the RPH-Focused products?
A: Exact allocation amounts for each tier will be determined on a product-by-product basis and will take into account the overall print run of that product, as well as the number of stores that have achieved each level. Amounts may vary from release to release.
Q: What is a Local Qualifier?
A: Local Qualifiers are newly announced events that will qualify local players to their region’s Disney Lorcana Championship event. These haven’t started running yet, so stay tuned for more information as it is announced.
Q: Are Collector Boosters exclusive to RPH stores?
A: Collector Boosters will primarily be distributed through RPH stores. A limited quantity will also be available through select Disney retail locations and the Ravensburger Online Store.
Q: How many Collector Boosters does each tier receive?
A: Allocation quantities may vary by market and available supply. Final allocations are subject to regional availability and distribution practices.
Q: Can my store move up a tier immediately after meeting the requirements?
A: Stores may qualify for a higher tier as soon as they meet the required metrics. The actual promotion action is not automatic and needs to be performed by your local RPH store representative. They will get an automatic prompt from the system to review and approve your store for promotion, but please feel free to communicate with your representative if you have any questions.
An additional important note: product allocations and benefits are tied to future allocation cycles and may not take effect immediately.
Q: My store hasn’t had time to build up a year’s worth of metrics for Disney Lorcana TCG before this was announced. Will I have to wait until next year for a chance at Legendary?
A: Your store will not need to wait for a year. All your store needs to do is meet the metrics for the tier to be eligible. For example, if your store runs 50 events with more than 250 unique players in a few months’ time, your store would be eligible for Legendary tier, given that you’ve run prerelease events for the last four sets.
Q: How will I know my current tier?
A: Stores will be able to see their current metrics and tier information in the Ravensburger Play Hub software.
Q: How often are tiers evaluated?
A: Tiers are evaluated each set release. Tier status is reviewed on a rolling basis using data from the previous four sets. Each evaluation looks back at your most recent year of activity.
So as a hypothetical example using total event counts (assuming all other requirements are met), if a store in the Legendary Tier runs 10 events in set 20, 15 events in set 21, 20 events during set 22, and 5 events in set 23, that store would maintain Legendary status because they ran 50 total events over that period.
When set 24 comes out, the 10 events in set 20 would drop from consideration, and the store would have all of set 25 to do at least 10 events before the end of the set to keep status.
Each region’s representatives will communicate with their stores in different ways so it’s important to keep a dialogue open with them if you have any questions or concerns.
