The “Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game: Past, Present, Future — Presented by Ravensburger” panel at D23 was a trove of exciting revelations for fans and D23 attendees. Hosted by a panel that included Ryan Miller, Steve Warner, Brent Strong, Shane Hartley, and Richelle Brady, the event drew a packed audience eager to learn more about the Disney Lorcana TCG.

The panelists kicked off the session by sharing impressive statistics about Disney Lorcana TCG’s success. With over 1 billion cards sold, more than 100,000 players actively participating globally, and more than 5,000 local game stores supporting organized play, the game has taken the world by storm. The community's enthusiasm is evident, with over 172,000 people engaging on social platforms and more than 700,000 event entries recorded to date.

In addition to celebrating these milestones, the panel revealed details about the highly anticipated sixth set of Disney Lorcana TCG, set to launch in November 2024. Fans were treated to a sneak peek at new cards featuring beloved characters like Daisy Duck, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, and Donald Duck, all in pirate-themed roles. The set will also introduce characters from The Rescue Rangers to the game for the first time.

Looking ahead, Disney Lorcana TCG has big plans beyond 2024. The panel announced that The Black Cauldron will be added to the game in 2025, followed by Disney’s Pocahontas in 2026. Excitingly, work has begun to integrate Pixar franchises into Disney Lorcana, with more details expected in 2026.

For fans of organized play, the introduction of Disney Lorcana Quest in 2025 promises a new, fan-centered approach with social, cooperative, and multiplayer play options. Disney Lorcana Challenge updates also brought thrilling news, with championships scheduled at Disneyland Paris Resort in December 2024 and Disneyland Resort California in January 2025, culminating in a World Championship at Walt Disney World Resort in 2025. The championships will offer exclusive prizes, including a Gold Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Tailor card for winners.

      • Take your first steps into the realm of Lorcana with Ryan Miller and Ari Levitch in this panel hosted by Krystina Arielle. Learn the basics of the story and lore of Disney’s enchanting Trading Card Game and discover what makes Lorcana a magical experience.
         
    • Who’s the Baddest? Disney Villainous Trivia (Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. PT)
      • Test your Disney Villains knowledge in this interactive trivia game based on characters found in the Disney Villainous franchise. Join Ravensburger and host Krystina Arielle for deep-cut Villains questions, behind-the-scenes game info, and giveaways!
