ANAHEIM, CA – August 14, 2026 – Tonight at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Ravensburger made several thrilling announcements about the future of its popular Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game (TCG). More than 800 fans were in the panel room to learn about upcoming sets, including the first look at Cosmic Quest coming in Spring 2027. The panel discussed how Disney Lorcana TCG will be featured at more Disney events and Park locations in 2027 and beyond. To close out the presentation, Ravensburger staff made a surprise announcement that a digital version of Disney Lorcana TCG, playable on desktop and mobile, is officially “in the works.” Fans can sign up at DisneyLorcana.com/digital to be the first to learn when public testing begins.
“Our mission in the Ravensburger TCG studio is to reach as many Disney fans as possible with our amazingly hand-crafted artwork and attention to storytelling detail,” said Elaine Chase, Head of TCGs at Ravensburger. “By allowing fans to experience each Disney Lorcana TCG card wherever they are logged in, I’m positive even more Disney fans will want to jump into one of the most open communities in all of gaming."
Disney Lorcana TCG is coming off celebrating its three-year anniversary with flying colors. (Or is that ink types?) With 13 sets released, more than 3,000 unique cards published, and 2.8 billion cards sold worldwide, the future is brighter than ever. Plus, Attack of the Vine! is still in high demand among gamers and collectors alike.
More Disney events and locations will feature Disney Lorcana TCG in the years to come. More details will be coming, but for now Ravensburger is excited to share that Disney Lorcana TCG will be at EPCOT® International Festival of the Arts in 2027, featuring cards and gifts with purchase that fans can’t get anywhere else. Ravensburger is thrilled to announce they’re expanding the Disney Lorcana TCG experience including the popular Collection Quests across the Disney Cruise Line fleet in 2027 and beyond!
During the panel hosted by Krystina Arielle, the Ravensburger team also showed first glimpses of Disney Lorcana TCG - A Visual Guide Through the Magical Realm. Coming in 2027, this guide is a deep dive into the visual storytelling of the game. And this was not the only exciting book-related news as D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event was the first place fans could get their copy of a unique in-world book, Quest of Wonders: An Illumineer’s Lorebook.
Collectors of Disney Lorcana TCG have a lot to be excited about in the months to come with the debut of collector boosters. Fans may find the rarest cards among the 12 premium foil cards in collector boosters, including a brand-new rarity called Illustrious. Only 23 serialized copies of each Illustrious card will be printed each set. To whet the crowds appetite, Ravensburger revealed one of the six Illustrious cards appearing in Into the Inkdark. Maleficent – Biding Her Time, illustrated by Kendall Hale, is a nod to the first Disney Lorcana TCG card revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event back in 2022. Fans can look forward to collector boosters debuting at Ravensburger Play Hub stores and select Disney locations when Into the Inkdark releases in Q1 2027.
Ravensburger also revealed the next release in the all-new Curator’s Collection line - the Curator’s Collection Beauty and the Beast Edition is timed perfectly for the film’s 35th anniversary this fall. Releasing this October at select Disney locations, the collection features new artwork for six fan-favorite glimmers of characters from the movie, including Gaston – Intellectual Powerhouse and Belle – Hidden Archer.
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, the Disney Lorcana TCG community is the friendliest group of gamers I’ve ever been a part of,” explained Ryan Miller, co-creator of the game and Director of Product and Play at Ravensburger. “My team is busy working on expanding everything for Disney Lorcana Challenge ’26–’27, including adding more events to meet the incredible demand. I can’t wait for us to share more information on the livestream for the Disney Lorcana CCQ happening at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend.”
