Your Guide to the Areas in Wilds Unknown

April 14, 2026

Discover the three far-off locales through which you must trek your way home.

Hello, Illumineers… and survivalists!

After that flurrious winter storm, you and the glimmers have been flung into the bizarre far corners of the realm. These lands have been left untamed, growing more and more wild. And while some of you may find a survivalist venture to be thrilling, you’ll want to make it back to the Great Illuminary as soon as possible.

Here’s what you need to know about each biome.

Wilderknot is a jungle that’s as lush as it is vicious. Overgrown trees shroud the paths in deceptive shadows, and ruins seemingly pop out of nowhere. Then there are the quicksand pits and other hazards that will have you watching your footing very carefully.

Atop the mountain range that is Torchlight Peaks, you must navigate impossible cliffs and boiling lava flows. But amid the hike, you might discover caverns and hollows that offer refuge and safety. Hope you’re not afraid of heights.

Last but certainly not least is the Great Empty Sea. What once was a vast ocean is now a desert unlike any you’ve experienced before. And while you may think it’s “empty,” you’d be wrong. Craggy slot canyons require cautious traversal all while a gargantuan Leviathan prowls the sandy landscape.

It’s up to you to forge your own path through these dangerous landscapes, so good luck!
