Familiar Faces Return in Fabled

Hello, Illumineers! Back during The Next Chapter livestream, we talked about rotation and what it means for Disney Lorcana TCG. You can check the announcement out here.

To help adjust to this change, Fabled will contain many returning cards from the first four sets. If a card has the same name (and version) as a card from a set that “rotated” out, it is legal to be played! You can tell what set number a card belongs to by checking the bottom of the card, next to the collector number.

Because Stitch - Rockstar from The First Chapter or Into the Inklands share the same name and version as Stitch - Rockstar in Fabled, you may use any of them in a Core Constructed deck, and it’s considered to be from the latest print run, regardless of which set it’s from. We understand this may take some getting used to, but encourage you to use tools, like the deckbuilder in the Disney Lorcana TCG Companion App, to help you build your decks with the latest cards.

So that means while four sets are leaving the card pool in this first rotation, we’re selecting a significant number to stick around, the majority of the set in fact! Whether it’s because we’re happy with the impact they’ve had on the game, or they might not have gotten their time to shine.

One more thing we wanted to be sure about when approaching a set like Fabled, is to get newcomers an opportunity to collect cards of their favorite characters they may have missed, like Elsa – Spirit of Winter, or maybe you’ve been around from the start and never got a full playset of Tinker Bell – Giant Fairy. But what we didn’t want to do was hurt the collectibility of Enchanted cards many of you chased during those sets’ releases. While cards that received Enchanted cards may reappear in reprints, those Enchanted versions are not being reprinted. It’s important to us that those cards stay highly collectible. That said, some fan favorites will be getting new Enchanted cards in Fabled.
