Disney Lorcana Challenge Qualifier is coming to New Zealand!
Season 2 of Disney Lorcana Challenge has been announced and with it comes a new set of events for Oceania. It’s an exciting time to go into more detail about the Auckland Disney Lorcana Challenge Qualifier, happening on November 1-2, 2025!
What is a Disney Lorcana Challenge Qualifier?
A Disney Lorcana Challenge Qualifier, or DLCQ, is a Premier Play event that connects to a specific Disney Lorcana Challenge event within that region. DLCQs provide markets without a Challenge event access to Premier Play event experiences and a chance to earn specific prizing.
Auckland, New Zealand DLCQ: • November 1-2, 2025
• Prizing
▪ 128 players or less
• 1st Place – 2 Round BYE into Australia Challenge Event
• 2nd - 4th Place – 1 Round BYE into Australia Challenge Event
▪ 128+ players
• 1st Place – 2 Round BYE into Australia Challenge Event, NZ$500 travel voucher to the Melbourne DLC in Feb 2026.
• 2nd – 8th Place – 1 Round BYE into Australia Challenge Event
▪ Select Challenge Prizing will be available – however no Serialized Golden Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Tailor card will be awarded at DLCQ’s.
- There are byes for prizing at the DLCQ. What is a bye?
▪ A bye awards a round win to a participant in a connected Disney Lorcana Challenge event! This means the player will automatically bank a match win for the specified round(s).
- Do I need to participate in the Auckland DLCQ to attend the Melbourne Disney Lorcana Challenge?
▪ No. Both events are open to all players.
The Auckland DLCQ event page goes live on Wednesday, August 20th at 3pm AEST with early bird registration for ANZ players.
