Mark Two Years of Ink and Imagination with New Quests & Giant Reveals

Calling all Illumineers! Prepare to enter the pages of an epic tale as Disney Lorcana returns to Gen Con Indy 2025 from July 31 to August 3 with a packed schedule of thrilling events, magical moments, and unforgettable memories. 

Whether you're an eager new recruit or a seasoned strategist, there's a place for you in the Great Illuminary this year. Ready your glimmers, shuffle your deck, and read on to see what awaits in Indianapolis! 

First, because we know fans are excited, how can fans acquire promotional Disney Lorcana TCG cards during Gen Con? There are three available:

  • Goofy - Emerald Champion, a preview card from the upcoming Whispers in the Well set, will be provided to fans who purchase Disney Lorcana TCG items from the booth 2001.

  • Pluto - Tried and True will be provided to fans who have registered for Disney Lorcana TCG gameplay events.

  • Anna - Ice Breaker will be provided to fans who complete the Collection Quest events when turning in their finished cards. 

All are provided while supplies last! 

Streaming Stage: Lorcana’s 2nd Anniversary Celebration

Kick off Gen Con with a livestreamed celebration of two magical years.

Thursday, July 31

Join the team for reveals, reflections, special guests, and surprises as we commemorate Disney Lorcana’s incredible second anniversary. Whether you're attending live or tuning in from home, it's a can't-miss moment for fans. 

Giant Card Reveals – Fabled Cards (Not-ticketed) 

Prepare to see fan favorite cards returning in Fabled revealed by prominent community members in front of the Disney Lorcana cosplay photo op backdrop in the Hoosier Hallway! 

Reveal Times: 

  • Thursday – 3:00 PM 

  • Friday – 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM 

  • Saturday – 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM 

  • Sunday – 12:00 PM 

After each reveal, the giant cards will move to Booth 2001, where you can see them up close throughout the show.

Collection Quest in Room 130

Collection Quest in Room 130

This year, Disney Lorcana turns Room 130 into a bustling hub of discovery with eight distinct Collection Quest — designed to thrill collectors, casual players, and social butterflies alike. 

In each session every Illumineer will receive quest sheets featuring 6 cards from a specific Disney film or story, and 3 booster packs of the featured set to start. Participants will look through their booster packs to pull out the cards they might already have that are on their quest sheet, and then they’ll begin trading other Illumineers to complete the set of 6 cards! Once completing the quest, participants will receive an Anna-Ice Breaker promo card.

All Disney Lorcana events are ticketed through the official Gen Con website, so be sure to grab your passes early — these events tend to fill up fast. Whether you’re planning a full day of drafts or just stopping by for a quick match, there’s an event for everyone.

New to Disney Lorcana TCG?
Start your journey with the New Player Starter Deck event. Learn the ropes, make new friends, and walk away ready to challenge anyone in the realm. Join us and receive a Single-Player Deck and Booster pack of Reign of Jafar to play with for 3 rounds! These sessions run daily at 11:00 AM (10:00 AM on Sunday) — the perfect way to warm-up!

Core Constructed Events
Test your mettle in classic head-to-head battles where strategy and synergy reign. With multiple Core Constructed events running daily, you’ll have plenty of chances to fine-tune your deck and take on challengers of all levels. Bring your best constructed deck and battle it out for 3, Best of 3 rounds!

Sealed Deck & Booster Drafts
Looking to mix things up? Join a Sealed Deck or Booster Draft event using cards from different sets — from the First Chapter to Reign of Jafar. These formats reward quick thinking, bold plays, and your ability to master a deck built on the fly.

Starter Deck Chaos
Feeling lucky? This fan-favorite returns with random starter decks and unpredictable matchups. It’s light-hearted, fast-paced fun with a twist — ideal for players who don’t have a deck yet. Join us and receive a Random Starter deck and Booster pack! Battle it out for Lore for 3 rounds.
