Rock n’ Roll with Lilo & Stitch!

A Winterspell Amber/Steel Theme Deck

There’s no denying that Lilo and Stitch are beloved by Disney fans across the globe. Ever since this fluffy alien and his young, earthling friend first appeared on screen, Lilo and Stitch captured the hearts of the young and the young-at-heart alike.

And ever since The First Chapter, the first set from Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game, glimmers of Stitch and friends have been spotted in many players’ decks and collectors’ binders. From the Storyborn Stitch – New Dog to the new Floodborn Lilo – Rock Star, and glimmers of Nani, Jumba Jookiba, Pleakley, and more, these glimmers continue to bring smiles to Illumineers’ faces everywhere.

In the newest set, Winterspell, Illumineers were delighted to find Stitch and Angel in the set’s key art. Along with many other friends and experiments, we see through the card art that glimmers from the Stitch franchise are taking part in an epic snowball fight in the realm of Lorcana, except Reuben; who just wants to make sandwiches, of course!

When I first thought of new deck ideas for Winterspell, I knew I had to bring together glimmers from the Stitch franchise for a fun theme! I decided to create an Amber and Steel deck.

Off to the Races

This deck is built to go fast! Start off with a Lilo – Snow Artist on turn 1, and if you have Pudge – Controls the Weather in hand, you can immediately play him for free! Follow up with either Stitch – High Badness Level or Stitch – Alien Dancer on turn 2, and Lilo will now quest for 2 with Stitch in play. If you’re going second, you may want to start off with Angel – Siren Singer using her Underdog ability to have a Singer 3 on the board right away! Other Lilo glimmers, like Lilo – Bundled Up and Lilo – Escape Artist, will also help you quest quickly to get ahead of your opponent

More Friends

Besides Lilo and Stitch, I added in a couple other friendly glimmers to help out. Nani – No Worries will quest for two when she has no damage, and with 4 Willpower she should stick around on your board for a while. While Pleakley – Arctic Naturalist will allow you to draw a card if you have another Alien character in play when you first play him out. There are 2 copies of the new Legendary Angel – Experiment 624. Her Good Aim ability can help deal extra damage on your opponent’s side of the board!

Let’s Rock

The two stars of this deck are Lilo – Rock Star and Stitch – Rock Star, and for good reason! Stitch – Rockstar has been around since The First Chapter, and his ability to draw cards is great in a decklist like this with lots of smaller characters, especially in the late game when you have lots of ink and can keep playing out your 1 and 2 cost characters. The new Lilo – Rock Star is so incredibly fun to play with! Whenever Lilo – Rock Star quests, you can play a character with cost 2 or less from your discard for FREE! Both characters have Shift 4 and with plenty of Shift targets in this deck, you should be able to play one, if not both glimmers, during most games

Those aren’t Experiments

While I wanted to keep this theme deck primarily to Lilo and Stich glimmers, I did add in two staple cards that are key to making this Amber and Steel deck really work! Daisy – Donald’s Date is a must in almost every Amber deck, especially an aggro-style deck like this. Strength of a Raging Fire is another staple card in Steel decks, and with a strategy to flood the board with tiny questers, this song is great for you to use your board advantage and deal damage to opposing characters.

Ready, Set, ACTION!

Winterspell has some great Action cards from Lilo and Stitch. Akood Et Emuti, a 3 cost Song, is a great way to discount the cost of playing out a character, plus it replaces itself when you draw a card. Ohana Means Family, the second Legendary Action card in Disney Lorcana, is another amazing way to draw cards when you remove damage from a character.

All the glimmers in this deck work together as an Ohana. And as Stitch says: “Ohana means family. And family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” But with this deck, your opponents may get left behind as you race to twenty lore with Stitch, Lilo, and a few of their friends!
