Ravensburger Bans Card in Infinity Constructed Format

Today, the Disney Lorcana TCG team at Ravensburger has removed a card from eligibility in the Infinity Constructed format, also known as a ban. Infinity Constructed is a format that allows all cards from the First Chapter set up to most recent sets, while the Core Constructed format only includes more recently released cards. Following the first ban to the Disney Lorcana Core Constructed format back in April 2025, the game design team chose to also ban “Hiram Flaversham – Toymaker” in Infinity Constructed in order to encourage diverse deckbuilding strategies at upcoming events.

The co-creator of the game and lead of design team, Steve Warner, has a few notes on the decision: 

Hello Illumineers! Steve Warner here, 

Effective immediately, Hiram Flaversham – Toymaker is officially banned from play in the Infinity Constructed format. 

Although we love the flavor of Hiram, he continues to create an insurmountable resource gap. His tinkering has become a bit too efficient for the health of the format. We want the Infinity Constructed format to be full of diverse strategies, and while we are sad to see the Toymaker have to leave the format, we believe that this will open up the meta for more decks and more fun. 

All of us on the game design and development team are looking forward to seeing how this change will affect players building decks in the Infinity Constructed format. We’ll be watching events and tournaments closely to see how fun and exciting the Infinity Constructed format can be for everyone who loves it.

NOTE: “Hiram Flaversham – Toymaker” is not removed from the game. Players are encouraged to enjoy playing with the card in their decks against friends and family. The ban only affects those participating in Disney Lorcana Challenge events or other tournaments and events using the Infinity Constructed format.
