The game was his introduction to trading card games where he’s enjoyed learning the ropes and helping others learn how to play.

Discover how to vary up your Disney Lorcana game in Wilds Unknown

When a new set of Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game releases, it brings new possibilities for deckbuilding combo strategies. From fan-favorite characters to new game mechanics, Wilds Unknown brings it all to the realm of Lorcana.

Let’s take a look at four fun new combos you can take advantage of!

Pixar stories have made their debut in Wilds Unknown, so what better combo to start off with than those adorable little green aliens from their first feature-length film, Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story.

Alien – True Believer and The Claw

Our little green alien friend has a very interesting ability, He Has Been Chosen, which states that whenever he is banished, you add another Alien from your discard to your hand. Now, here is where The Claw comes in. This card allows you to return an opposing character back to their player’s hand each turn—if you are willing to banish one of your characters each time you do.

Of course, if you banish an Alien, you can get him right back to your hand. I don’t think an Alien glimmer will mind being chosen for that either.

You can also achieve similar gameplay with Sid Phillips – Toy Surgeon, too.

Merida – Formidable Archer and Three Arrows

If you already thought Three Arrows was an amazing card, you weren’t wrong. Now wait until this Merida card enters the game and lines up some arrows of her own.

With the Merida – Formidable Archer, every damage ping suddenly hits much harder. Three Arrows lands for 2 damage to kick things off, and Merida’s Steady Aim takes it from there, adding another 2 damage to the same target for a total of 4 damage.

The follow-up 1 damage shot gets the same treatment, turning into an additional 3 damage. This play totals 7 damage from one formidable combo.

Merida’s Full Quiver ability can also bring Three Arrows back from your discard, giving this combo the chance to hit hard more than once.

Sapphire/Steel decks have seen all different types of iterations and play styles since the introduction of the game. Aggro versions of these decks have proven to be quite popular, and if you are a fan of these ink colors and how they play, we have quite a combo for you.

Minnie Mouse – Practical Traveler and Incrediboy – Buddy Pine

It’s quite rare to get 3 lore on turn two, but here is a combo that can do just that. Minnie Mouse – Practical Traveler comes with Discerning Eye, which allows her to gain 1 lore whenever she quests if you’ve played another character that turn.

Now, it just so happens that Minnie Mouse is also a Hero character. So, if you play this Incrediboy card, his Nerding Out ability will give another bonus lore while you have Minnie Mouse in play. This combo is sure to put early pressure on your opponent.

Additionally, you can also play the new Ursula – Deal Maker as another way to make your small characters gain lore faster.

Wilds Unknown brings us so many glimmers from Pixar, including the fashionista herself, Edna Mode, who is known for creating many amazing super suits over the years. This combo could lead to quite a few frustrating moments for your opponent, especially as the game goes on.

Edna Mode – Super Suit Designer and Super Suit

This combo can become a Mr. Incredible-sized engine once it gets going, and it’s difficult to clear from the board.

This combo will quietly have your hero deck flourishing with card draw and extra lore, steadily bringing you toward that coveted victory. Edna Mode keeps the Super Suit active by readying it with her Key Accessory ability, ensuring it does not become a one-and-done combo.

With Super Suit in play, Edna’s other ability, All the Basics, protects her by providing Ward. Suddenly, every Hero play you make becomes a real advantage while also giving you a reusable draw option and steady lore generation that can close out the game if left unanswered.

There are so many combos to explore with the introduction of Wilds Unknown into the realm of Lorcana—from splashy damage plays to reliable engines that keep on giving. There’s plenty to test, explore, and master.
